Welcome to the Penn Museum! From fieldwork to courses in archaeological science, and from professionalization workshops to extracurricular clubs, the Museum has something for everyone.
The Penn Museum joins in the University’s commitment to supporting original research by undergraduate and graduate students. A range of courses and research seminars are held in the Museum’s Center for the Analysis of Archaeological Materials (CAAM), including a Minor and Graduate Certificate in Archaeological Science. Whether in the labs, classrooms, field sites, galleries, storage, or the archives, we encourage students to explore their interests and academic goals.
You don’t have the spend your summers sorting pottery to be part of the Penn Museum family. Join the Clio Society to get behind-the-scenes access to the Museum and plan events for your fellow students. Become a member of our staff as a work-study student, or apply for one of our paid internship positions and dig deeper into the research and curatorial life of the Museum. Or just attend one of our Making Workshops, student tours, or gallery openings and have fun while you learn!
